Lenovo has launched two smartphones in the K8 series i.e. K8 Plus and K8 Note. Many people are wondering, which one should they buy, out of these two. In this post, we will tell you the differences among these two smartphones and help you in choosing one.
The following table shows the K8 Plus & K8 Note’s overall specifications and the differences. Further, the price of Lenovo K8 Plus is INR 10,999 whereas K8 Note is priced at INR 12,999 for 3 GB/32 GB version and INR 13,999 for 4 GB/64 GB version.
Storage
The specifications above show that K8 Plus comes only with 3 GB/ 32 GB version only. On the other hand, K8 Note comes with 3 GB/ 32 GB as well as 4 GB/ 64 GB version. Clearly, you will get better multitasking with K8 Note due to the option of 4 GB RAM.
Display
Next difference is in the display size, K8 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch display and K8 Note comes with a 5.5-inch display. Choosing the display size is a personal preference, however, larger displays are in the trend these days.
Camera
The rear camera on both the smartphones includes 13 MP + 5MP dual lens setup for producing bokeh effect. The rear camera performance of both smartphones is similar because of same hardware used. However, the front camera of Lenovo K8 Note has better 13 MP resolution in contrast to 8MP found on K8 Plus. Thus, the front camera of K8 Note produces better selfies. Thus, K8 Note wins in the camera department.
Chipset
Lenovo K8 Plus has MediaTek Helio P25 Octa Core 2.5 GHz processor whereas K8 Note MediaTek Helio X23 Deca Core 2.3 GHz processor. The processor of K8 Note has been built on latest ARM-A72 along with ARM-A53. On the other hand, the processor of K8 plus has been built only on ARM-A53. Further, Helio X23 has faster memory speed and faster GPU in comparison to Helio P25. Therefore, Lenovo K8 Note will be much faster in gaming, multitasking than K8 Plus.
Dimensions
As far as the dimensions are concerned, K8 Plus is smaller and lighter than K8 Note due to its small display size. If you need small form factor in the smartphone than K8 Plus should be your choice.
Verdict
Looking at the differences in the specifications of the Lenovo K8 Plus and K8 Note, the clear winner here is Lenovo K8 Note. It has larger RAM size, better camera, larger display and a better chipset. However, if you are looking for a smaller form factor in the smartphone and have some budget constraints, you can go with K8 Plus.
