You might want to check how many users are using your Wi-Fi connection for many reasons. It could be to check if someone has been illegally using your network or may be to check if too many users are using it at a time and slowing the network. In this article, we will describe, how you can check the number of users connected to your WiFi network.
To check the number of users connected to your Wi-Fi network, you need to open your router’s dashboard on a web browser. You can open the dashboard by typing its web address in the web browser. Most of the routers can be accessed using address: 192.168.1.1. However, you can find the exact address of your router from the labels or information mentioned on it. Once you enter the address in the browser, it will ask you to enter the username and password as shown in the snapshot below:
Enter the default username and password, mentioned on your router, if you have not set any yourself. After entering username and password, you will enter in the router’s dashboard. In the dashboard, go to the tab ‘Status’, which usually is the last tab.
Under the status tab, go to the ‘Device info’ tab. You will see ‘Current Connected Wireless Clients number is’, which indicates the number of Wi-Fi users connected to the network. You can press the refresh button to check the latest status of the connected users. You can also find the MAC address of all the connected users as shown in the above snapshot.
